Cedar Christmas & New Years

We left Texas and flew back to the Las Vegas airport to make our drive to Cedar City for second Christmas with the Lemich family. I enjoyed eating the white chocolate blueberry fudge Sarah made us the whole drive back. When we arrived, Cedar was covered in snow! Luckily his home is always warm and happy. When we arrived, all of the family was there except Denae & Malcolm, who had already gone back to Wyoming. The one Mike was most excited to see was Checkers, aka Kitty Monster.  LaRae made German pancakes when we arrived which were delicious! We played games and watched sports. The next day, we opened our presents! I was so excited because I got a few surprises! I love opening a present when I have no idea what it is. I also opened my new Kitchen Aid!! Which Mike bought me. How perfect is he? Mike got ski pants, boots, and all sorts of other things. One of the things in our stockings was pistachios! I forgot how much I absolutely love pistachios. We drove out to an outdoor gun range, which I had been to many years before with my cousins. We also went to Wingers, one of my favorite chicken restaurants. I always get a salad and their sticky finger dinner with mashed potatoes. I tried a new salad dressing there that Alyssa recommended. I can't remember what it was now, but I really liked that. We finished the meal off with the Cookie pie ice cream dessert, of course. Mike got to talk to his brother Dan, who is in Ecuador, so that really made his day. While in Cedar, we also visited Grandma Sue and the Humphreys. My uncle Travis is an artist and custom framer, so he let Mike & I pick out one of his paintings as a wedding/ Christmas present.

We stayed in Cedar until Sunday night, then we made the drive back to Orem, which was 3 hours of snowing, so that I could go to work on Monday. I thought it was pretty stupid that I had to be at work Monday, but then had Tuesday off.  We got back to Orem after being gone for 17 days, and my car had been completely snowed in. Mike had fun digging that out the next day while I drove to work in his car.

New Years Eve, we went to Sam and Shayla's house. We hot tubbed at their club house, while it snowed on us, and then played card games, watched the Times Square New Years Eve broadcast, and ate snacks. Then at midnight, we went running outside wearing our party hats, and shot silly string everywhere while blowing party blowers as it snowed on us. Then we went inside and had sparkling cider toasts.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
