Wedding week

Finally I have time to sit down and reminisce on my beautiful and absolutely perfect wedding day! The week before the wedding, my family, best friend Shanna, and foreign exchange sister Haruka arrived in San Diego, so we could relax, de-stress, and just have fun! My family rented the cutest little house on the beach, which we have stayed at in the past. We spent almost every day at the beach; tanning, wave jumping, running alongside the beach, shopping, and eating food from little shops and stands. I was so glad we went to California early, because once we left Texas, it was like the wedding planning was done. Whatever items made it to California was in California for the wedding, and whatever items did not make it, were no longer part of the wedding. Simple as that. On Wednesday, my cute fiance arrived and I got to pick him up from the airport. I was a little worried all week that he might not show up. I had no reason to worry, but I had never been married before, so a few days before the wedding I thought, "What if he stays in Texas and doesn't come to California! Then there would be no wedding!!"He of course couldn't wait to get to San Diego, and life was officially perfect once he arrived.

Thursday morning, My parents, Shanna and I walked down the strand and ate breakfast on the beach. It was our last family breakfast before the wedding. (Lizzey was in bed asleep :( ). It was so peaceful and exciting. My parent's did a fantastic job of making me feel loved and special all week long!!

Later that afternoon, the Lemich's threw us a wonderful family lunch at The Harbor House in Seaport Village. Both of our families, plus Haruka and Shanna, and the grandparents attended. We ordered seafood, and it not only arrived in a beautiful fashion, but it tasted very delicious. That night, my sister in law Sarah worked with my family and friends to throw me a bachelorette party. We had the party at the beach house, so there was tons of food, beach volleyball, socializing, dancing, and of course a beautiful sunset on the beach. I have used the word beautiful many times, but seriously everything relating to the wedding was beautiful, perfect, and absolutely wonderful!! We had family and friends come from mine and Mike's side of the family. I was so honored that so many ladies came out to celebrate with us! I also had almost all of my younger cousins come too.

I'm pretty sure I barely slept at all that night. I don't think Mike slept much either, which is why I am SO glad that our ceremony was at 10:00 am. The hair stylist came to the house at 7:00 am and started on my hair. I had all of my make up completed and bags packed at this point. After my hair was done, she started on the other bridesmaid's hair. I ate a bagel, then we said a family prayer. My dad said the prayer, and started to choke up right in the middle. We left a little later than planned, and being a Friday morning at 8:30, there was rush hour traffic! I started to panic that we would not make it to the temple by 9:00. Miraculously, my dad was able to weave in and out of traffic, driving nearly 90 miles an hour, and I made it just a few minutes after 9.
