Wedding: first dances, cake & desserts

One of the things I liked most about the reception was that everyone was barefoot, dancing with the sand between their toes. Mike and my first dance was to Journey's Open Arms
As our song came to end, I began to tear up. By the time my dad stepped onto the dance floor, I was practically sobbing. I was very impressed that my dad never even cried! He made me laugh while we talked about how perfectly the day was going. We danced to Celine Dion's Because You Loved Me.

By the time our dance finished, I looked around and nearly half of our friends and family were all crying! Next Mike and his mom danced to Eternal Flame by the Bangles.
Finally all the crying and tear-fests were over and it was time to cut the cake and bring out the desserts! My cake was from Sweet Cheeks Baking Company (San Diego), and I designed it myself with Elaine, the owner. I thought we were going to feed the cake to each other like civilized human beings. Mike tried to get a little fancy however, and ended up getting the cake down the inside of my dress. So I decided to get revenge, and smear it all over his cute little face. After cake, we rolled out the ice cream shake/ sundae/ malt bar, and the s'mores!

I made a chocolate fudge malt shake, and it was probably the best shake I have ever tasted. I did start to feel a little sick when I was dancing on the dancefloor, after I had eaten a shake and a s'more.
