Our honeymoon suite was overlooking Coronado's beach- which included our reception. So Mike and I got to stand on the balcony and watch our guests arrive while we waited to make our grand entrance. Finally, Amy called me and said it was time. So we walked thru the beautiful Del, across their patios and lawns full of people (who were parting way, congratulating, and taking pictures of us as we walked by) and onto the beautiful sand. There we were greeted by our guests, as the DJ played "Crazy little thing called love".
After we entered, we exchanged rings in front of all the guests, while my dad gave a lovely speech/ toast to us and our future together.
Then dinner was served!
Then finally it was time to start the dancing! But not without more crying, because next I would dance with the two most important men in my life!!

Congratulations and best wishes to you both!!

Thank you Kit!
ReplyDeleteHi there, newlyweds! The hotel looks so wonderful! It sure looks like you had a good service from the hotel staff for arranging the reception. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but aside from the sliders, the shrimp skewers, and the steak, were there any other choices from the buffet that were served? How about for dessert?

Beulah,
DeleteYes, the Hotel Del catered all the reception food. For appetizers, we had the sliders, almond chicken sate, crab, beef filet, and a fruit bar. For the main course we had 2 salads, almond crusted sand dabs, chicken, tangerine and pasilla chile BBQ, steak, vegetables, mashed potatoes, pasta and rolls.
Dessert we had a fire pit with S'mores, a malt/shake/float/ice cream sundae bar, and a cake from Sweet Cheeks Baking Company.
Have you ever visited The Del? It was a perfect evening.
