home sweet home

As of July 27th, Mr. Mike and I are officially Plano residents. We moved in (well my mom and I moved everything in while he was in NYC) bought all new furniture (including my first washer and dryer- no more quarters!) and are completely loving our new "grown up" life. Can't call us little college students anymore!

(Sarah helped me make my first wreath!)

The area we live in is absolutely perfect for us. Mike, being from Rawlins, thinks that you should be able to get anywhere in 2 minutes or less. With in a 2 minute radius we have 2 grocery stores, a million restaurants and cafe's, a movie theater, a mall, a giant nature preserve, the hospital, parks and the high school track. The only thing missing from this radius is our jobs, which are a little further away.

The area is a win win for me because in addition to the things Mike loves, I love that we live in a gated complex, I have a fireplace (YAY for decorating for holidays!) 2 pools, a gym, a sauna, and many running trails. I also like having a second full bathroom. Who knew having two bathrooms could be so fabulous?! I almost never use the master bathroom because the guest bathroom is more convenient to where I hang out in the house.
(Making more progress on the decorating)

(First movie night on the new couch)
My favorite thing about our couch is that all the pieces can move around and form different shapes. For movie night, we push the ottoman into the chaise to make a super couch. I am still in the decorating process, but we have made a lot of progress. I love having painted walls! I think that is one of the things that makes this feel like a real home because we can personalize this place however we want. I also like having a garage and an extra storage room so we can keep the bedrooms looking clean.
