Oh P.S... Mike is officially a Texas resident now :)
Oh P.S.S... Mike is on business training trip in NYC for the next 2 weeks. So when I said Mike started work and I acted like I would never see him again, I pretty much meant it. At least for the next 2 weeks anyways.
The day we arrived in Texas
oh you know, just cutting off our foreheads
We love bahama bucks. Oh how I missed them while living in Utah
Fourth of July swimming and tailgating for fireworks with David & Sarah. Ignore my manic expression
I just realized Mike is wearing his USA jersey in like every picture. He did wear it many times during the World Cup, but I promise we did wash it.
Hiking around the Lake Ray Roberts Green Belt
I have been dreaming about the day I would get a Dyson for years. In our 2 years of marriage we went through 4 vacuums. Lets pray this vacuum lasts for a while!
Hiking around Lake Grapevine
Mike and Akina are now the best of friends. She follows him everywhere
We were kind of unintentionally matching for church
Golfing with the boys
an example of shenanigans
fetching stick in Lake Lewisville
(I wasn't about to swim in that part of the lake, but Mike is a brave soul)
Checking out Mike's new work
He is actually super excited to start his new job and put his mind back to work
never ending walks with this pup
We accidentally started a new tradition this year: Christmas in July. So, last year for Christmas grandpa wanted to take everyone out to dinner at fancy steak house as our family Christmas present. Well we finally cashed in on his offer- six months later. We went to Bob's Chop and Steak House at The Shops at Legacy in Plano. The meal was definitely worth the wait! We had fun walking the shops and around the pond after. We all had a fun night and really enjoyed ourselves.
more shenanigans
I love love love seafood. So even though we were at a steak house, I order the Parmesan crusted gulf red snapper with garlic scallops, served with sun dried tomato couscous, asparagus, pesto and crumbled pancetta.
Mom and Grandpa during the stroll
And that's a wrap!
...for now away.
Today is moving day.
Just waiting for the movers to arrive and come haul off our stuff over to our new home.
