Coeur d'Alene

Last week Mr. Mike and I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Lemich family vacation in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. Coeur d'Alene is in the northern most part of Idaho, about 30 minutes from Spokane. We flew into the Spokane airport- which was my first time ever traveling to Washington. We stayed at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, which was a beautiful 4 star hotel and golf resort. It was awesome to have maids clean up after us (since usually I am the maid!) and have all our meals prepared by chefs. The trip was a relaxing break from real life spent with excellent company.

Our first stop to eat was at Cedar's Floating Restaurant on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Alyssa, LaRae and I each ordered the butternut squash crab raviolis with king crab legs.. so incredibly tasty.
After dinner, we went to a reception meet and greet for car dealers. Emil is part of a group of car dealers, called "the 20 group", who meet up a few times a year in different locations. This weekend, they were in Coeur d'Alene. After attending the meet and greet (lets be honest, us kids just went for the desserts) we went on a stroll around the resort and lake.

From nearly everywhere in the town, you had a view of the lake. All of the restaurants, shops, and hotel had glass walls.
Each morning we went and worked out in the fitness center, and then ate at Dockside cafe. We were so in love with their breakfast that we went every single morning. The favorite was the caramel french toast. It was heavenly! It was even coated in a crispy frosted flake which made for a yummy crunch.
 Morning walks around the lake

Alyssa, Dallin, Mike & I went para-sailing for the first time over the lake. At full height, we were about 450 feet above the lake. It was so quiet up in the sky and it felt like we were moving slowly. The captain dipped us in the lake a few times at the end before we landed back on the boat.

  1. Goodnight iPad sounds ridiculous. But it made me laugh that it was "written" by Ann Droyd.
