September in a nutshell

Well much has happened in the past month and a half. Mike joined the iPhone world when he received his iPhone 5 a few weekends ago. I got a job about 5 weeks ago working as a sales rep for a Utah company called Veracity. So far I really love the job, and it is actually a lot of fun! All my years selling clothes at Eddie Bauer definitely came in handy.  I have been logging a lot of miles since we got to Utah via biking and running.  Mike and I have attended all of the BYU home football games so far. I have been cooking SO much since we got here as well. And I went thru a pumpkin faze and made pumpkin everything. Pumpkin pancakes (twice), pumpkin chocolate chip muffins (twice), and pumpkin frozen yogurt. We used or ice cream maker for the first time, and made butterfinger ice cream and the pumpkin frozen yogurt. I also went to the Provo temple for the first time as well. I can't say that it's the prettiest temple, because I think it looks rather odd. Mike was able to make it look good in the picture below however. We have also done a lot of hiking since we have gotten here too. We hiked the Y, we hiked to Stewart falls, and we hiked around Rock Canyon. In the future, Mike and I are hoping to conquer Mt. Timpanogos. It is almost 12,000 ft at the summit, and is somewhere between a 12-15 mile hike. I am excited to give it a try.
Even though I am so far from home, we luckily have a really great group of friends. Most of our games and activities are spent with Shayla, Sam, Rob, Bailee, Dallin, or Justen. Or all of the above. One of my good friends from Texas, Jacqueline, lives just down the road from me too. We also get to see Mike's parents and family from time to time as well. Mike and I have felt incredibly blessed lately and talked about how wonderful our friends, our home, our lives, and our love for each other is.
