Holidays & Hassles

This month has been equally split between Holiday activities and health hassles. Christmas parties, work dinners, celebrating our 2.5 year anniversary... surprise emergency surgeries, hospital stays, and never ending recoveries.

Isn't my date just so cute!
This month ( I say this month because I was only just at the hospital having emergency surgery last month, I think even on the same day) I found out I had a large ovarian cyst that was cutting off the blood supply to my ovary, so I had to have an emergency surgery to get it removed. I ended up having to stay in the hospital an extra day from complications. At least I had Mike there to entertain and help me. He is such a trooper.  He is the perfect example of showing the kind of love that money can't buy. The surgery was laparoscopic, so now my abs are as sore as can be and I can't workout for 2-3 weeks :( Not being able to work out is always the worst part of every surgery.

Best friends just going to the dog park. I told Akina to smile and she showed me her teeth!

San Antonio

San Antonio with the Lemichs

The first weekend of December we met Mike's parents in San Antonio for a weekend of Christmas festivities, food, and family time. The Riverwalk and Alamo were decorated for Christmas. I just loved all the lights. (I thought they needed more Christmas music out and about though!) We spent a lot of time at the Alamo- and even watched a gun show. We also ate a lot of yummy desserts. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio, which was a super nice hotel. I loved the fitness room and the heated pool on the roof overlooking the city. Outdoor swimming in December? Yes please! :)

Going to visit Daddy (Mike) at work. (Max loves his daddy!)

November

November was a crazy yet beautiful month spent with our family, counting our blessings, and eating a lot of food.
 The biggest, yummiest pizza
Week of Thanksgiving mom and I began our Christmas shopping
the two best friends that anyone ever had

 Snuggling my pup
The week before Thanksgiving the weather dropped to 30 degrees and raining (we had a 30 minute snow flurry mist) so we decided to watch Frozen and drink hot chocolate
Thanksgiving at David & Sarah's house. The turkey and gravy was incredible! They used Gordon Ramsay's ultimate Christmas turkey recipe. Instead of cooking the turkey in a bag, they wrapped it in bacon and spices. The bacon and seasonings were then transferred to make the gravy. We couldn't get enough. Recipe Here
Sarah festively decorated the house

 Woof Pack strikes again

September/ October

We are still alive! This season has flown by so quickly that I can't even believe I am so far behind. I stumbled across the new iphone 6 at a Verizon store and quickly snatched it, but I did not have time to back up photos since I did not know I would be getting a new phone that day. I have tried to gather as many as I could find from social media and Mike's phone. Here is just a little of what we have been up to in the past few months...
 Happy Birthday mom!
Lake hiking is the highlight of Max's existence.
 The Woof Pack
LaRae and Emil visiting us- JFK memorial, lots of food, aquarium, cowboys game

Grand pup snuggling up with Grandpa Lem

We're obsessed. This pup goes practically everywhere with me. He has turned into an amazing car dog and traveling companion. Except that one time when I left him in the car alone for 5 minutes with a factory sealed dark chocolate protein bar (in my purse) and he ate the whole thing and I had to induce vomiting by squirting hydrogen peroxide down his throat to get the chocolate out.

Happy Halloween!
