Bear Lake

My Hubby and I had the wonderful opportunity to take a get away trip to Bear Lake for our anniversary. It was a new destination for both of us. We stayed at Ideal Beach Resort. We loved the amenities IBR had to offer such as mini golf, tennis courts, pool, spa, and of course the beach. Coming from Texas- land of brown lakes- I was amazed at how blue and clear the water was. You could see the lake floor up to about 6 feet deep! We got shakes from Quick N Tasty, which was one of the best I've had in my life. I got a "cookie dough S'mores" shake and it was incredible. Mike got "raspberry fudge brownie", since the town, Garden City, is known for their raspberries. We went kayaking, SUP boarding, and swimming in the lake. One night for dinner, we went to Bear Lake Pizza, and got the BBQ chicken pizza, which tasted pretty amazing. We were both very impressed. There was only one bummer of the trip. The first night while we were walking to go play tennis, one of those lawn gnats flew directly into my right eye. I spent five minutes trying to get it out. Finally we went and played tennis, but my eye was still a little irritated. 5 am the next morning, I go to the bathroom and my eye is swollen shut and pretty nasty. Turns out the bug was STILL there-GROSS! I was able to dig out the dead bug (still creeps me out thinking about it), but my eye remained red, swollen, and irritated for the rest of the trip. Hence sunglasses in almost every picture. I was also trying to prevent any other little bugs from flying into my eye. Other than that, it was a perfect weekend spent celebrating with my love.  My arms were quite sore from all the paddling
